Our Commitment

We are committed to making the auction process as convenient, easy and enjoyable as possible for all our sellers. We will guide you through the whole valuation and auction process with the expertise of our team of specialists, and we are dedicated to helping you realize the true value of your property.

Valuation

The first step is for us to valuate your property. You may make an appointment for us to come to your location, you may send us photographs, or you may schedule a time to bring your items to our auction house. You can also download our app for Apple or Android and upload your images to us for a quick response.

Next Steps

We will then give you a verbal valuation of the estimated value of each item, based on our specialist’s knowledge of prices realized in the current auction market, and their own expertise. We will also explain our Conditions of Sale, commission structure, and discuss any ‘reserves’ that may be set. A reserve is the price below which we will not sell the item.

If you then decide to sell your items through us, you will receive a consignment contract together with a complete inventory of all your items, their high/low estimates, reserves if any, date received, and date of auction.

Insurance, Packing & Delivery

Insurance, packing and delivery of consigned goods to our location is your responsibility. We will assist you by recommending movers if necessary, or where we are able, by arranging for pick-up and delivery with our own moving van. You may also drop off your items by appointment at our auction house. While we may recommend movers we are not responsible for their acts, errors or omissions.

After the Sale

After the sale you will receive a settlement statement listing the hammer price for each item sold. Within thirty business days of the sale you will receive payment by check, less our commission and any agreed fees, provided payment has been received from the buyer.

If any item fails to sell some charges may still be incurred, for example insurance fees. We may also charge a ‘buy-in’ fee of 5% of the reserve price or low estimate if no reserve was set.

Please call us at 216 226 3300 to arrange a time for us to appraise your property, or send a photograph of each item by mail.
