AUCTION DAY

Before the auction starts

  • click on the Live Bidding tab under our Auctions menu,
  • log in,
  • click Realtime Bidder and,
  • select the auction from the drop down menu.

The bidding console will then open displaying the current lot up for auction, lot description, picture, estimate, current bid, asking bid, auctioneers messages, upcoming lots, etc.  A large green "Bid NOW" button allows you to place bids in real time.

BIDDING

When the “Bid Now” button is green, click it to place your bid. The asking price is indicated in the “Asking Bid” box. If your bid was accepted, the “Bid Now” button will turn grey and you will not be able to bid again until you are outbid. If a competing bid was accepted first, the “Bid Now” button will stay green and you may click on it to bid again.

When the auctioneer is about to close the lot “Fair Warning” will be declared in the message box.  After the lot closes the winning bidder and the hammer price will be displayed in the Message box. The next lot will then open for bidding.
